Recently IndusTrack won a significant financial award from the Metropolitan Economic Development Association (Meda), based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. In all, more than 200 businesses across the country applied to participate and 12 finalists from five states competed. Six companies won financial awards. Meda was founded by a group of Minnesota business leaders who saw BIPOC (Black, indigenous, and people of color) business ownership as a positive, long-term response to rising economic inequity within minority communities. Meda provides business development services, access to capital and corporate and governmental market support for BIPOC businesses with the potential to scale.
The Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal interviewed Raz shortly after IndusTrack took the honors. About IndusTrack’s vision to help small and mid-size contractors to grow their businesses with less effort, Raz says, ” We’re trying to transform a nondigital industry. We talk to people who have flip phones still and they don’t want to call in their timesheets. You can put your marker there and try to transform it into using tablets and iPhones to do the job. The industry is slowly moving in that direction, but 40% or more of this industry is still on paper. Especially with Covid times, it helps to not have paper. ” Check out the interview.
